The first European to fight with a black belt in Sao Paulo.

May 2001 I go to Sao Paulo to the grandmaster Flavio Behring (@flavio_behring) to fight in the FSJJ federation (@fpjjoficial). meeting with the grand master and the president of the federation Octavio de Almeida @aoabjj. At that time the software he could not register addresses outside of Brazil, he had never seen foreigners before and especially in black belt. So it’s a way for me to have opened the door to all the people who came after. You will tell me it takes a start. Training with Flavio Berhing’s team, more than 30 black belts including some legends, imagine me in France there was no black belt yet, so I prepare with lower belts, I arrive there and all the workouts are done with incredible levels. the competition to happen outside of the competition, it was an incredible time. very soon I will edit a video for you, it’s part of the heritage of European and of course French jiu jitsu.
